Field Notes prepared by Steven Michael Vroom

Here are the front [recto] and back [verso] of an unidentified manuscript

The langusge appears to be Latin written in faded black and vibrant red inks.

The paper is western and several small pin prick holes appear on the spine to indicate it once was bound.

The measurements are 20.5 x 13.75 cm

Here is what we know so far.

"Your bifolio comes from a Breviary, the liturgical book that contains the Texts for the Divine Office. To judge from the gothicoantiqua script, the Breviary was Italian: given the austerity of the rubricated incipit letters, though, I can only suggest that it was probably made in the late Middle Ages."
